Integration with Payment Processing Systems

Symmetry has integrated various payment processing systems with eCommerce stores, POS software and order processing systems. Payment gateway integration includes:

Gift Card and Loyalty Program

The client, an expanding retail chain of aroma oils and herbal products, wanted to start accepting gift cards in their retail store. The client had signed up with Givex and Swipe It to accept gift cards. However, the client’s POS software did not provide interfaces for the gift card company. Considering the long lines at POS counters, the client did not want to process gift cards in offline mode. This would also necessitate replication of payment transactions in the accounting software. Symmetry designed an innovative solution by which gift cards and loyalty programs could be processed in online mode from the POS software. The solution was designed to simulate gift card payments as credit card transactions, convert the transaction to the payment request format required by the gift card payment gateway and to translate the response to a format that the POS software would understand.
